Mufti of Ukraine: Azerbaijan has become center of tolerance

Kiev, September 4, AZERTAC

“Thanks to its contribution to the development of multicultural values Azerbaijan has become a center of tolerance in the West and in the East,” said Mufti of Ukraine Akhmed Tamim as he addressed a ceremony on Eid al-Adha in Kiev.

“Azerbaijan is an example to other countries in terms of the conditions created for all religions.”

“Azerbaijan has become a cultural, religious and spiritual center. The country is implementing important projects both in Muslim and Christian countries,” he said.

“Mosques are being repaired in every village and town in Azerbaijan. The largest mosque in the Caucasus was built in Baku. This shows that the President of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing Islamic values,” Akhmed Tamim added.
