Nakhchivan Open-2014 chess tournament money prize amounts to $10,000
Baku, April 18 (AZERTAC). The International Chess Festival Nakhchivan Open 2014 commemorating Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev will have a total money prize of $10,000.
Organized by the Azerbaijan Youth and Sport Ministry, Azerbaijan Chess Federation and Nakhchivan Chess Federation, the tournament will take place from May 3-12 at the Nakhchivan Chess Center.
The Swiss-system tournament will bring together a total of 101 chess players from Azerbaijan, India, Georgia, Latvia, Iran, Russia, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
The Nakhchivan Open-2014 will also feature a tournament for U12 juniors.
