National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 103rd anniversary marked in Berlin

A concert program marking the 103rd anniversary of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Berlin, Germany.
The event was co-organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, and the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany.
Addressing the event, Nasimi Aghayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany, highlighted National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s invaluable contributions to preserving and strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, as well as shaping the country’s national statehood.
According to the ambassador, thanks to the National Leader’s visionary policy, Azerbaijan has become a trusted partner on the international arena, with the country’s energy policy further increasing its strategic significance.
Aghayev described Heydar Aliyev’s official visit to Germany in 1996 as a turning point in bilateral relations, which are steadily developing grounded in mutual respect and trust.
Akram Abdullayev, Executive Director of Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, also shared his thoughts on the activity of the National Leader. He said that both Azerbaijan and Germany are enjoying successful relations in economy, education, innovations, culture, and humanitarian efforts.
He further stressed that joint projects, festivals, and concert programs contribute to fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
The event proceeded with a concert program featuring performances by the Simurg mugham ensemble.
