NATIONWIDE LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV AWARDED “ATATURK AWARDS ON LANGUAGE”
First winners of the “Ataturk Awards on Language”, founded by Organizing Committee of the international Olympiads, on Turkic languages became the nationwide leader Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the former president of Turkmenistan Saparmurad Niyazov, AZERTAC correspondent reported from Istanbul.
At the Istanbul Center of the Congress and Exhibition, at the final ceremony of V International Olympiad on Turkic languages, Chairman of Organizing Committee professor Mehmet Saglam has presented the Award to the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey Zakir Hashimov. He noted invaluable merits of the outstanding personality of the Turkic world Heydar Aliyev in preservation and enrichment of the Azerbaijan language, development of integration Turkish speaking countries.
In ceremony, attended by Chairman of the Turkish Parliament Bulent Arinc, ministers, MPs and public representatives, also have been handed over awards to winners of the V Olympiad conducted on various areas in Turkish language among 550 pupils from 100 countries. Among the winners there are also Azerbaijani pupils from the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan - Emin Aliyev and Farhad Aliyev.
Member of Azerbaijan Parliament Ganira Pashayeva and the general consul of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Sayyad Aran took part at the ceremony.
