NATO Secretary General to visit Bulgaria

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit the Novo Selo training area in Southeast Bulgaria on Thursday, according to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). He is scheduled to meet with caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zafirov, Chief of Defence Emil Eftimov, and the Ministry's political and military leadership to discuss issues on the Alliance's agenda. The meeting will also be attended by Bulgaria's top diplomat Ivan Kondov.
Rutte will get acquainted with the activity of the NATO Multinational Battlegroup, which is led by Italy and hosted by Bulgaria.
Rutte and Zapryanov will give statements to the media at Novo Selo.
