NEXT ROUND OF AZERBAIJANI-IRANIAN NEGOTIATIONS OPENS IN BAKU
The issue of expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the electrical energy sphere was discussed during the meeting of Azerbaijani and Iranian experts in Baku. According to the press service of Azerenergy JSC, for that purpose a delegation from Iran led by the deputy head of the Distribution Department of Azerbaijani Electricity, Mr Farzan. The delegation includes representatives from the energy companies Tavanir and Gilani.
According to the head of the Central Distribution Department of Azerenergy, Nurali Yusifova, the negotiations considered several issues of mutual interest. Among them was the discussion of the programme for technical exploitation of the trans-Azerbaijani power transmission line Astara (Azerbaijan)- Astara (Iran) and the intersystem transmission lines Imishli-Parsabad including the construction of the second stage line and progress on construction on the Julfa(Azerbaijan)-Julfa (Iran) project, among others.
A protocol is expected to be signed at the end of the negotiations
