OIC Model - Academy of International Relations program gets underway
Baku, April 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan has for the fourth year been successfully implementing "Model of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) - an international educational program".
This year the organizers of the program carried out under title "OIC Model - Academy of International Relations" are OIC Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Baku State University.
One of the objectives of the OIC Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation is to support youth activities in the region through the implementation of OIC project "OIC Model", which is aimed primarily at the active involvement of young leaders in the social life of the country, the activities of international organizations, as well as the acquisition of new skills and knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies.
"Within the project more than 150 students from different universities of Baku, for six weeks will take part in lectures on the history, structure and principles of the OIC, the role of Islam in social life, the dialogue between civilizations, etc. Lectures will be held by ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions of OIC countries accredited in Baku, as well as leading experts of state structures of Azerbaijan and other countries in the region," Director of the OIC Youth Forum Elchin Asgarov said.
