OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION TO RISE

Shahdeniz field is expected to produce 5.72 bln cubic metes of gas this year, 8.5 billion in 2008 and 9.8 billion in 2010.

35 production wells drilled in the Chirag, Central, West and East Azeri fields produce an average of over 90 thousand tons of oil per day, and 20 million cubic meters of gas. According to the forecast, oil production is expected to hit 43 million tons in 2007 and 65 million in 2010.
