OMBUDSWOMAN TO JOIN SEMINAR IN YEKATERINBURG
Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova will participate in the seminar on problems in fighting trafficking in human to take place on May 17-18 in the Russian Federation city of Yekaterinburg.
Organizers of the event are Commissioner for Human Rights of Sverdlovsk oblast of Russia, U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Embassy in Moscow.
The Ombudswoman of Azerbaijan will deliver a report on the problems and prospects of cooperation in human rights protections in Eurasia. She will inform the audience on the measures being undertaken in Azerbaijan to ensure human rights and freedoms, the adopted National Action Plan for Human Rights Protection, ombudsman’s activities towards ensuring human rights, achievements and existing problems in this area.
Ombudswoman’s annual reports, statements on acts of terror and genocide committed by aggressive Armenian against the people of Azerbaijan, as well as publications reflecting real an objective information about the country will be distributed among the participants in the seminar.
