OSCE ACTING CHAIRMAN TO VISIT MOLDOVA
The OSCE Chairman-in-office, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Mr. Ilkka Kanerva will visit Kisinev on 16-17 January, AZERTAC reported quoting the website of Novosti-Moldova.
The visit to Moldova will be the first after the Finnish foreign minister has become chairman of OSCE instead of FM of Spain Miguel Anchel Moratinos on 1 January.
On completion of the visit, Mr. Ilkka Kanerva will go to Ukraine. The OSCE Chairman-in-office has stated that his priorities would be the problem of Kosovo and the “frozen conflicts”, the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), the Russian-American relations, as well as elections in Georgia, Russia and the USA. Alongside with this, the Chairman plans to activate the Organization in Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
