PABSEC plenary session opens in Tbilisi

Tbilisi, December 19 (AZERTAC). The 42nd session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) organization started in Tbilisi.

Azerbaijan’s parliamentarian delegation led by the vice-chairman of the PA BSEC Asaf Hajiyev takes part at the session.

Prior to the session, the Azerbaijani parliamentarians honored the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument here and put flowers.

Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia chairing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) organization David Usupashvili opened the 42nd plenary session of PABSEC attended by representatives of 12 countries.

"The Georgian parliament is proud that over the past six months we have been chairing the assembly and contributed to its effective work,” Usupashvili stated.

The Georgian Premier Irakli Garibashvili welcomed the session participants, saying it is very important to continue and deepen cooperation with the organization’s member countries.

The Prime Minister also added that Georgia is ready to perform its functions as the transportation corridor, improve the transport environment, cooperate in the field of environmental safety, as well as contribute to a deepening of trade relations between member countries.

As is stated, Georgia will pass the chairmanship of the organization to Greece.
