Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agree to enhance cooperation against drug smuggling

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to strengthen cooperation in combating drug smuggling. During his official visit to Riyadh, Pakistan’s Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Naqvi held a high-level meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz.
The ministers discussed ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on joint efforts to counter drug smuggling.
During the visit, Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi was formally received at the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Interior, where both sides reviewed broader security issues and emphasized the importance of reinforcing mutual collaboration within the strategic framework governing relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Other bilateral matters were also addressed during the meeting, reaffirming the commitment to deepening cooperation in security and counter-narcotics initiatives. Senior Saudi officials, as well as Pakistan’s Ambassador in Riyadh, attended the meeting. Minister Naqvi is in Saudi Arabia to expand bilateral ties and develop new mechanisms to curb drug trafficking.
