As stated, at the sitting, discussed were the Drafts on approval of the “Moscow Declaration of Azerbaijan Republic and the Russian Federation”, the “Protocol between the government of Azerbaijan Republic and the government of the Russian Federation on step-by-step liquidation of exceptions from the free trade regime” and “On the frame agreement on trade cooperation of the Organization of Economic Cooperation (ECO)”.
The Moscow Declaration will play significant role in development of strategic co-op between Azerbaijan and Russia, Chair of the Committee Sattar Safarov said.
The document was signed in the course of visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Moscow in February this year. The declaration says, the sides will cooperate in the political, trade-economic, and humanitarian spheres, in the field of security and defense, on the Caspian issues, in common and regional fields.
The Protocol between the governments of Azerbaijan and Russia on step-by-step liquidation of exceptions from the free trade regime will lead to development of trade-economic links between the two countries, growth of goods turnover, while the other agreement - to development of trade links among the ECO member-countries.
The Drafts were decided to submit to the parliamentarians for consideration.

The same day was regular sitting of the MM standing committee on international relations and inter-parliamentary links. Discussed was the issue on documents signed between the two states in the course of official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Russia in the first decade of February current year.
Chair of Committee Samad Seyidov noted that the visit and the signed documents in Moscow are evidence to the new and significant phase of development of the strategic partnership and friendly links between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Members of the Committee highly appreciated the documents on approval of the “Moscow Declaration of Azerbaijan Republic and Russian Federation”, the “Program of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere between Azerbaijan Republic and Russian federation for 2004-2006”, the “Agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan Republic and the government of the Russian Federation on mutual protection of secret information”, the “Agreement on cooperation of the CIS member-states in combat against the crimes in the field of computer information” and others.
The Committee unanimously decided to submit the discussed issue to the consideration of Milli Majlis.
