Political parties of Azerbaijan release statement on plane crash

The political parties of Azerbaijan have issued a joint statement regarding the crash of an Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), which occurred on the Baku-Grozny route, near the city of Aktau, Kazakshtan.
AZERTAC presents the statement:
"The people of Azerbaijan were deeply saddened by the crash of a passenger plane of Azerbaijan Airlines on the Baku-Grozny route on December 25, 2024, which resulted in tragic loss of lives and injuries.
Due to the incident, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev postponed his visit to the Russian Federation, immediately returned to the country and convened a meeting to address the aftermath and investigate the causes of the accident. The head of state has signed the relevant orders to establish a state commission to investigate the causes of the crash, provide assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, address issues involving foreign citizens affected by the crash, and declare a national day of mourning in the country.
We trust that the relevant state agencies will swiftly investigate the causes of the crash and provide detailed information to the public, ensuring that those affected by the incident receive the necessary state support.
On behalf of the political parties signing the statement, we pray to Allah for mercy upon those who lost their lives in the plane crash, express our deepest condolences to their families and loved ones, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
We declare that we stand by our people and state in such difficult days, condemn the attempts by some to turn this tragic crash into a subject of political speculation, and call on our citizens and all Azerbaijanis around the world to demonstrate solidarity.
