‘Positive dynamics observed in Azerbaijan-Netherlands trade turnover in recent years’

Baku, May 1 (AZERTAC). Positive dynamics is observed in trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands in recent years, Dutch ambassador Arjen Uijterlinde said.

The ambassador noted last year trade turnover between the two countries was €209 million, of which €102 million made up export from the Netherlands and €107 million import from Azerbaijan.

The diplomat noted most of the products being used in trade operations were electronics and machine equipments, adding 90% of export from Azerbaijan was oil products.

Uijterlinde pointed out his country intends to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in agricultural sphere. “The Netherlands is ready to exchange experience with Azerbaijan in the field of alternative energy sources, as well.”

The Dutch diplomat also said representatives of 20 leading companies of the Netherlands would arrive in Azerbaijan this month. “They will be participating in the business forum to be held in Baku on May-23-26.”
