PRESENTATION OF PROJECT ON RAILWAY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND GEORGIA HELD
Presentation of project on improvement of railway communication between Azerbaijan and Georgia was held at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Transport.
The project is prepared by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation of Korea.
Speaking at the ceremony, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov said under the agreement signed during President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Seoul, the Korean specialists prepared the project on reconstruction of Baku-Boyuk-Kesik railway section.
Korean Vice Minister of Construction and Transportation Choon Hee Lee described Azerbaijan-Korea economic relations as rapidly developing.
He said Azerbaijan, which is now one of the leading countries in the world, needs to increase its rail transportation volume.
The project is aimed at launching high-speed rail links between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The project will run for seven years.
