PRESIDENT ADDRESSES PARTICIPANTS OF THE FOURTH CONGRESS OF CIS ONCOLOGISTS AND RADIOLOGISTS
The President expressed confidence that the Congress would make a considerable contribution to further development of medical science and healthcare in the CIS member-states. “The fact of holding the Congress in Baku is considered as the result of your fruitful cooperation with the National Oncology Center of Azerbaijan to preserve the unified scientific area for the countries of the Commonwealth,” he said.
The President noted that the negative consequences of the global environmental and man-caused changes in the world have influenced the dynamics of the oncological diseases, as well.
“Contemporary medicine has wide opportunities to find methods to treat this dreadful diseases. Our government is creating necessary conditions for realization of effective social policy. The state policy in the field of healthcare is becoming more effective and oriented towards both problems of effective treatment of and social assistance for cancer patients,” the Azeri leader said.
