PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ATTENDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR POWER SUBSTATION IN AGDASH
Agdash, February 12 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today laid a foundation stone for a regional power substation here.
President was told that a new 220/110 kV substation was scheduled to be built as part of the Asian Development Bank- funded 220 kV Power Transmission Enhancement Project
The construction work, which started in early January, is to be completed within 15 months. The project will also see the construction of the 251 km long Mingachevir-Absheron 220 kV Transmission Line. The implementing agencies are Azerbaijan`s AZENKO and France`s Areva companies.
President Aliyev put a time capsule into the foundation of the substation, and covered it with liquid concrete.
This event marked the end of President Ilham Aliyev`s Agdash trip.
