PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV CONFIDENT HE WILL WIN 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
In an interview with the Moldavian Kanal-4 TV channel, Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that he will win presidential elections to be held in the country next year.
He said he kept all the vows he made when elected the country`s president in 2003.
Ilham Aliyev said during his tenure he has been paying great attention to development of Azerbaijan`s regions.
According to the President, his government implemented a huge number of projects, including construction of motor roads, building of 1,200 schools and tens of hospitals and construction of 6 power plants.
Ilham Aliyev said over 600,000 new jobs were also created since he took office.
