PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV EXAMINES RECONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AT THE ALLEY OF MARTYRS
On June 12, President Ilham Aliyev examined reconstruction activities at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, and was acquainted with the plan of outstanding work. Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalybov let the President know that the visitors’ path will be covered with black and white marble slabs, and decorated with special lighting effects.
The President gave recommendations concerning the design of portraits and inscriptions on shehids’ tombstones. He noted that particular attention should be paid to reflecting traditional architectural style. He also examined the memorial Eternal Fire erected in memory of shehids ay the initiative of great leader Heydar Aliyev, and gave instructions on improvement of the monument and nearby area.
