PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS WITH PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN
Visiting Rostov President Ilham Aliyev has met here with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The Russian leader thanked President Aliyev for accepting his invitation to travel to Rostov, noting he was pleased with the opportunity to discuss some issues of mutual interest and those of importance for the entire region.
President Aliyev agreed that this trip was a good chance to exchange views on the issues of concern. “We have the same approach to the regional problems. Our relations are those of strategic partnership, and we remain committed to this partnership,” he said.

nt described the rapid economic growth of Azerbaijan in the past years as the result of deliberate economic policy of the country’s government.
The Azerbaijani leader said the tripling of trade between Azerbaijan and Russia over the past three years is an indicator of economic potential of the two countries and closeness of their relationships.
He expressed hope for strengthening of the Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations in all areas.
