PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES CONGRESSMAN JOHN TIERNEY
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has received US congressman, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform John Tierney and his accompanying delegation.
John Tierney said he witnessed great reconstruction work in Azerbaijan. He pointed out President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the US last year had contributed to development of bilateral relations between the two countries. Mr. Tierney expressed hope that the relations will continue to expand.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed that interparliamentary relations are also successfully developing. Azerbaijani leader said Azerbaijan has achieved great accomplishments in all areas including the economic one. The President expressed his confidence that cooperation between the two countries will expand and strengthen even more.
