PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF CHINA TO AZERBAIJAN
Having expressed his deep gratitude for the meeting, the Ambassador passed on Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao’s sincere greetings to the Head of Azerbaijan State.
President Ilham Aliyev highly appraised historically friendly relations between Azerbaijan Republic and the People’s Republic of China, and recalled his meetings with Chinese leadership including that with the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs at the United Nations General Assembly.
Speaking of the positive results of the interrelations between the two countries, the Head of State mentioned the active involvement of Chinese oil companies in Azerbaijan. “Although these companies were a little late in coming to Baku, however, they are working hard, and have made profitable contracts,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
Having stressed that the People’s Republic of China had a huge potential, the Head of Azerbaijan gave a positive assessment to rapid economic development of this country, and growing tendency to apply up-to-date technologies. President Ilham Aliyev asked the Ambassador to pass on his heartfelt greetings to the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting, the parties have also exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
