PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN TO AZERBAIJAN
Noting that the Azerbaijan-Japan relations intensively develop in all fields, Head of Azerbaijan State highly appreciated contributions of Ambassador Toshiyuki Fujiwara in strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev especially underlined his contributions in realization of large economic projects and reminded charity activities of the Japanese ambassador in Azerbaijan.
President of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that Mr. Fujiwara even after completion of his diplomatic mission would continue his friendly links with Azerbaijan.
Head of State said that Mr. Toshiyuki Fujiwara was conferred with the high award of Azerbaijan, the “Shohret” Order for contributions in development of the friendly and cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Japan.
Expressing deep gratitude for kind words, the Ambassador stressed that the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev has founded the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Japan. Recalling his meeting with Mr. Ilham Aliyev when he was working at the Foreign Ministry of Japan, Mr. Toshiyuki Fujiwara said that he was a member of the Japan’s governmental Commission for establishment diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan. At that time, the Commission had decided to invite President Heydar Aliyev to visit Japan. That official visit of President Heydar Aliyev laid foundation of the modern Azerbaijan-Japan relations.
The Ambassador expressed deep gratitude to management of Azerbaijan, in particular, President Ilham Aliyev for care and attention he was shown in the country. President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the political line pursued by the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, he emphasized. Mr. Toshiyuki Fujiwara with great pleasure spoke of the constant developing relations between the two counties.
The Japanese diplomat said it was great honor and pride for him to be awarded with “Shohret” Order, and expressed deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high award.
