PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJANI REPUBLIC ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS
Greeting the guests, President Ilham Aliyev recalled his previous meetings with the co-chairs in Baku and abroad. Noting the role of the Minsk Group in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict, President of Azerbaijan expressed regret for its unsuccessful activity. Head of Azerbaijan state expressed hope that the problem would find its solution quickly.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are well aware of the Azerbaijan’s position, which was many times stated in the meetings between the Presidents and foreign ministers and once again stressed that Azerbaijan adheres settlement of the problem in the frame of the international legal norms. Noting the necessity of similar approach to all conflicts accompanied by aggressive separatism as the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict, the head of Azerbaijan state said that only in this case the conflict would find its resolution. President of Azerbaijan once again brought to the notice of the guests the UN Resolutions concerning unconditional liberation of the occupied lands, underlining that Armenia still ignores these documents.
OSCE French co-chair Henry Jacolin on behalf of his colleagues expressed pleasure from current visit to Baku, highlighted the head of Azerbaijan State on the meetings they held in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In the meeting, also was held comprehensive exchange of views concerning settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict.
Foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov, head of the foreign relations department of President Administration Novruz Mammadov took part at the meeting.
