President of Cuban Prensa Latina Agency visits AzerTAc VIDEO
Baku, April 13 (AZERTAC). President of Prensa Latina news agency of Cuba Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta and the country`s ambassador Omar Senon Medina Quintero have visited Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) where they met Director General Aslan Aslanov.
The Director General briefed Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta and ambassador Omar Senon Medina Quintero on the history of AZERTAC. Aslanov also spoke of Azerbaijan`s increasing prestige across the world, adding the country had become a leader in the region. He added all these achievements have created new opportunities for expansion of international relations of AZERTAC, which entered the global news community.
Aslanov stressed the role of news exchanging on boosting both countries` ties. The Director General added establishment of relations between national news agencies would contribute to development of Azerbaijan-Cuba relationship.
Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta said he was in Baku to attend the 1st World Forum of Graduates of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The president of the Prensa Latina praised the ongoing development process in Baku and hospitality of the Azerbaijani people. He said the Prensa Latina Agency was interested in establishment of cooperation with AZERTAC.
Ambassador Omar Senon Medina Quintero said Azerbaijani and Cuban peoples had a lot in common. He noted relationship between the two countries was established during the period of Soviet Union and it develops regularly.
