President of Uzbekistan arrives on state visit to Georgia

Baku, July 2, AZERTAC

On July 2, 2026, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by an official delegation, arrived in Georgia for a state visit, 1TV.ge reported citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

According to the Ministry, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, received President Mirziyoyev at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport.

“Within the framework of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold meetings with the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding across various sectors will be signed during the visit.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will lay a wreath at the Memorial to the Heroes Who Fell for the Unity of Georgia and will attend the unveiling ceremony of a monument dedicated to the poet Alisher Navoi,” the statement reads.
