PRESIDENT OF UZBEKISTAN MET CIS EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Issues of expansion of cooperation in CIS, economic integration, combat against terrorism, extremism, illegal turnover of drugs, cooperation in humanitarian sphere and some other issues were in the focus of meeting, AzerTAj correspondent reports.
Mr. Rushaylo also met the Prime-Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev and Foreign Affairs Minister Sadikh Safayev. At the press conference, Mr. Rushaylo noted that aim of his visits to the Middle Asian and Caucasus countries was to discuss the CIS role in the said area.
Mr. Rushaylo will leave Tashkent for Tajikistan and Kyrgyzystan. He also plans to visit Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
