‘Presidential elections perfectly organized in Azerbaijan’
Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). The CIS observation mission members have been in Azerbaijan since September 10. The 20-strong permanent observation mission has been in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan and its regions, met with the head and officials of the related organizations, learnt about the run-up for the elections, head of the CIS observation mission Sergei Lebedev told journalists, the Independent Press Center reports.
S. Lebedev said, “About 300 members of the CIS observation mission will also learn about pre-election situation and monitor the voting process in the regions of Azerbaijan. We can say that there was perfect preparation for the election. The Azerbaijan government has seriously prepared for the elections. Equal condition has been created for 10 presidential candidates to hold pre-election campaign. The polling stations are totally ready for the voting. In other words, we have objective and comprehensive view on the election situation in Azerbaijan. We are sure that this and other factors have laid groundwork for the free, democratic, transparent and fair elections. We are confident that the election will end successfully”.
