PRESIDENTIAL PARDON DECREE FULFILLED
Execution of the pardon decree (44th) signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev Tuesday on the occasion of Novruz Bayram was ensured by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
Under the Decree, of 59 prisoners at the places of confinement, 58 have been released from the remaining part of their jail and one was reduced in imprisonment.
The Azerbaijani President’s Decree was fulfilled in the presence of officials of Justice Ministry, Penitentiary Service, representatives of human rights organizations, governmental and non-governmental, as well as mass media.
The released prisoners and their relatives highly appreciated Ilham Aliyev’s pardon and expressed their gratitude to the Head of State.
