Prosecutor general meets with head of CIS Election Observation Mission

Azerbaijan`s Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov has met with CIS Election Observation Mission Yevgeni Sloboda.

Garalov highlighted measures done in Azerbaijan to ensure that voters freely express their will and to hold democratic and transparent elections. He provided a detailed insight into the tasks of the prosecution authorities in connection with violations of the election legislation.

Sloboda hailed conditions created for conducting smooth elections in Azerbaijan. He noted that the professionalism of members of constituencies increased in comparison with previous elections. Sloboda also praised the work of the Central Election Commission and prosecution authorities.
