The ninth meeting of Steering Committee on the project of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan took place in Ashgabad, AZERTAC correspondent said. The ministers of power of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and India, experts have taken part in session. The representative of official sponsor of the Transafgan project - the Asian Development Bank - has informed on preliminary results of the research connected to safety of the pipeline, representatives of Pakistan and India have promulgated data about volumes of gas, which they will receive in the further on this pipeline.

Through the pipeline in the extent of 1680 kilometers construction of which will take 3,3 billion dollars, will be annually transported 33 billion cubic meter of gas.

Then, participants of meeting have visited the large Dovletabad gas deposit in Turkmenistan and have familiarized with the infrastructure created here.
