Recep Tayyip Erdogan: TANAP to be inaugurated in early June

Baku, April 26, AZERTAC

“The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which will bring natural gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey and Europe, will be completed and the opening ceremony will be conducted in early June,” said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Recep Tayyip Erdodan noted that TANAP, being an essential part of the Southern Gas Corridor, will contribute not only to the sale and purchase of natural gas between Turkey and Azerbaijan, but also to Europe's energy security as a whole.

The Turkish President said that the construction of the Star oil refinery plant in Aliaga district of Izmir will be completed in the near future and the opening ceremony of the plant will be held in September or October of this year.
