Reported death toll from Typhoon Tino rises to 114

The reported death toll from the effects of Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) has climbed to 114, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.
These fatalities, all still undergoing validation, include 71 from Cebu; 18 from Negros Occidental; 12 from Negros Oriental; six from Agusan del Sur; two from Southern Leyte, and one each for Antique, Bohol, Capiz, Iloilo, and Leyte, according to PNA.
The exact cause of these deaths is still being investigated as of this time.
Meanwhile, 127 missing persons were reported -- 65 from Cebu and 62 from Negros Occidental.
The NDRRMC also reported 82 injured persons -- 69 from Cebu, seven from Negros Occidental, two each from Leyte and Surigao del Norte, and one each from Surigao del Sur and Southern Leyte.
The number of affected families is 544,081, equivalent to 1,951,546 persons residing in 5,089 barangays across eight regions nationwide.
As of this posting, 127,827 families are being sheltered in 4,933 evacuation centers, while another 36,752 families are being aided outside.
