Ali Ahmadov, Executive Secretary of ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP), met Monday with Elisabeth Dugan, vise president of International Republican Institute (IRI), to discuss an existing state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between YAP and IRI Baku office.

A. Ahmadov said YAP is satisfied with the level of relations between these two organizations, noting Azerbaijan has efficiently used IRI’s experience in the application of election technology.

The sides also discussed the projects to be realized by YAP and IRI jointly under the campaign of the forthcoming 2008 presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

Dallas Frohriep, head of IRI Baku office, Jake Johns, program manager, Siyavush Novruzov, YAP deputy Executive Secretary took part in the meeting.
