RUSSIA, AZERBAIJAN CONSULT ON BROADCASTING ISSUES
Consultations on the question concerning broadcasting of the Azerbaijani channels in Russia and the Russian channels in Azerbaijan will be continued at the Foreign Ministry of Russia, 8 June.
One of the questions of the inter-ministries consultations is the issue of tele-channels, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov told in an exclusive interview to AZERTAC correspondent. At his words, earlier was reached agreement on conducting exchange of views with the relevant structures of the Russian MFA. “Today we shall have large exchange of views on what level the countries can further cooperate in this field. Essentially, we are ready to prepare long-term mechanism of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation on this question. If to reach agreement in the mentioned question, possibly, we have to coordinate appropriate document, too”, Mr. Kahalafov underlined.
It has to be noted that the point is on the opportunity of broadcasting of Az.TV in the territory of Russia, and the RTR in the territory of Azerbaijan, and preparation of inter-governmental document “On rules and terms of broadcasting of the programs of Azerbaijani broadcasting bodies and the Russian analogous organizations in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic”.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov is on a 2-day working visit to Moscow to take part at the inter-ministries consultations.
