Sahiba Gafarova elected Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament

Sahiba Gafarova has been elected as the Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis as the first session of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s seventh convocation is underway.

Ziyad Samadzada, Chairman of the session, read out the list of the deputies of the seventh convocation of the Milli Majlis, and presented the session’s agenda.

The parliamentarians then discussed the election of the Milli Majlis speaker.

During the session, MP from the New Azerbaijan Party Sahiba Gafarova was nominated as the speaker of Milli Majlis.

Following the voting, Sahiba Gafarova was selected as the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
