Second meeting of ICAPP Youth Wing starts in Baku
Baku, August 14 (AZERTAC). The second meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Youth Wing has today started in Azerbaijan`s capital, Baku.
The three-day event brings together about 50 young politicians from 18 countries, including representatives of leading pro-government political parties of Asia.
The meeting is attended by ICAPP representatives including Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of Azerbaijan`s ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Jose de Venecia, Founding Chairman of the ICAPP, Chung Eui-Yong, co-chairman of ICAPP Standing Committee, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Special Rapporteur of the ICAPP SC and Secretary General of the Pakistan Muslim League, as well as Dato Seri Shahidan bin Kassim, Special Adviser to the Malaysian Prime Minister, and Naline Tavesin, ICAPP`s Thailand representative.
The event focuses on ways of widening of networks of young politicians in the Asian region.
The meeting will also see elections to the ICAPP Youth Wing.
The Baku Declaration of the Asian youth will be adopted at the end of the meeting.
