SEMINAR ON INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN AZERBAIJAN HELD IN UAE
A seminar on the investment milieu and business opportunities in Azerbaijan initiated by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United Arab Emirates and organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation ( AZPROMO) was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dubai.
Present at the event was the Azerbaijan delegation comprising representatives of the Parliament, Ministry of the Economic Development, AZPROMO, Azerbaijan Investment Company and businessmen led by the Chairman of AZPROMO’s Supervising Council Chingiz Asadullayev.
Prior to the seminar, Azerbaijan delegation met with the Director General of Dubai Chamber of Trade and Commerce (DCCI) Hamad Buamim.
The sides discussed economic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and emirate of Dubai, and successful economic reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Buamim said that Dubai is keen on the economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. He expressed his satisfaction with the rapid growth of trade turnover.
Head of Azerbaijan delegation, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to the relevant structures of Dubai for the assistance in organizing the event, adding that the Ministry of Economic Development and AZPROMO are interested in conducting a joint business forum in Baku.
Later, the seminar on investment milieu and business opportunities in Azerbaijan took place. The event gathered officials of the Chamber and 40 businesspersons.
The seminar participants were informed of the economic situation in Azerbaijan, its investment milieu and projects being implemented by the Investment Company. One-on-one meeting with the businessmen were also held to discuss the prospects of cooperation.
