Singer Alkistis Protopsalti Assumes Duties of Greek Interim Alternate Tourism Minister

Greece`s interim Alternate Tourism Minister Alkistis Protopsalti took over her new post from Elena Kountoura during the Tourism Ministry handover ceremony held on Friday evening in Athens.

Ms. Protopsalti is part of Greece`s non-political caretaker government sworn in Friday afternoon.

During the handover ceremony, Ms Protopsalti referred to tourism as the country`s heavy industry and stressed its importance to the national economy.

She underlined that she intends to do her best to contribute to the efforts for the sector`s further development in the country.
