SOCAR presents new logo in Ukraine

Kiev, September 24 (AZERTAC). The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has presented new logo in Ukraine.

The presentation has been held within the 12th International Forum "Fuel & Energy Complex of Ukraine: Present and Future".

The new logo is based on the symbol of fire, consisting of three colors. The symbol of fire holds an important place in the history of Azerbaijan.

The colors of the new logo correspond to the colors of the national flag, which is considered important to represent Azerbaijan in the international arena as a modern and secure country.

Representation office of the SOCAR Company started its activities in Ukraine in 2008. In early 2009, after a detailed study of the retail fuel market in Ukraine SOCAR Energy Ukraine came to a decision of establishing and developing a network of motorway filling stations in Ukraine.

In late 2009, the Company purchased a network of 17 filling stations in Nikolayev and Odessa regions as well as 7 plots of land to put up new filling stations.
