SOFAZ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MEETS US DELEGATION
Baku, August 17 (AZERTAC). Executive director of State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) Shahmar Movsumov has met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs and co-Chair of the US-Azerbaijan Economic Partnership Commission Daniel Sullivan and his accompanying delegation on Thursday.
Mr. Movsumov informed the delegation on SOFAZ`s activity, projects, management of its funds as well as the Fund’s great role in implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Azerbaijan.
In his turn, Mr. Sullivan extended his congratulations over SOFAZ`s winning the 2007 UN Public Service Award in the category of "Improving transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the Public Service".
