Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament discusses bilateral ties with Ukrainian ambassador

Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, met with Yuriy Gusev, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides praised the Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations, highlighting that they are built on solid foundations. They also emphasized the two countries' mutual support for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The two also highlighted the importance of humanitarian collaboration, saying that the strong bond between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Ukraine are built on shared values that bring the nations closer together.
Ambassador Yuriy Gusev conveyed congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his birthday, recognizing his exceptional role in advancing relations between the two countries. The Ukrainian diplomat also congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful hosting of COP29.
The parties commended the current level of relations between the parliaments, and held discussions on further strengthening these ties.
