SRI LANKAN DAILY NEWS PUBLISHES ARTICLE ABOUT AZERBAIJAN
Sri Lanka`s national newspaper Daily News has recently published an article about Azerbaijan.
In the article, titled “Sri Lanka seeks Azerbaijan help for oil exploration”, Sri Lankan Minister of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development A. H. Fawzie says the two countries are exploring ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in oil exploration.
According to Mr. Fawzie, his country is interested in importing Azeri oil.
Sri Lanka`s delegation including A. H. Fawzie and Minister of Export Development and International Trade Prof. G.L. Peiris visited Azerbaijan in mid-August to meet with Azeri Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Aliyev, President of State Oil Company, Rovnag Abdullayev, Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Economic Development, Heydar Babayev, and Director of Azerbaijani Export & Investment Promotion Foundation, Emil Majidov.
The discussions mainly focused on possibilities where Azerbaijan can provide assistance to Sri Lanka to improve its oil-producing industry.
