Swiss newspaper hails Azerbaijan's contribution to European energy security

Switzerland-based daily Neue Zürcher Zeitung newspaper has published an article highlighting Azerbaijan's contribution to ensuring Europe's energy security.
Pointing to Brussels' recent talks on a new cooperation agreement with Azerbaijan, the article hails Azerbaijan's strategic importance to the European Union. The article describes the Southern Gas Corridor project as a central pillar of cooperation.
The article also provides information about the Shah Deniz-2 gas field, the source of natural gas which will be transported to Europe via this corridor. "The Southern Gas Corridor is the most significant economic project of Azerbaijan. This project makes the country more powerful."
The article also hails other pipelines as TANAP and TAP, which are due to deliver Azerbaijani gas to the European market, underlining their economic profitability. "These projects whose economic profitability and transportation capacity is powerful enough, may become a 'wide corridor' in the near future. So Azerbaijan will take its place among the winners in ensuring Europe's natural gas supply," the article concludes.
