Swiss students enrich their knowledge of Azerbaijani culture
Baku, September 4, AZERTAC
As part of UNESCO Days, a project titled "Integration and Switzerland" was implemented in Zurich, Switzerland.
The project, authored and led by the head of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland, Gasim Nasirov, took place with the participation of 160 Swiss students in one of the gymnasiums in Zurich.
The principal goal of the event was to introduce Azerbaijani culture, promote multicultural values, and encourage mutual integration among young people.
The project allowed the Swiss students to become closely acquainted with Azerbaijan's rich history, cultural heritage, and national values. One of the most memorable parts of the event was the presentation of Azerbaijan’s national dances, performed by Azerbaijan’s compatriot and dance teacher, Mariya Khan-Khoyskaya, who lives in Geneva, Switzerland. The national dances generated significant interest among students, who also tried to perform them on stage.
The diversity of Azerbaijani culture and the inspiring impact of dance were warmly received by the participants.
