TANKER “PROFESSOR AZIZ ALIYEV” AT FLEET’S DISPOSAL

On August 14, the admission commission of the Caspian Shipping Company has received the tanker “Professor Aziz Aliyev”, produced at the plant “Krasnoye Sormovo” in Nijniy Novgorod, Russia, the price of which is estimated at US $8 million 750 thousand.

The new tanker meets all the requirements of international conventions on this kind of vessels. The vessel is ready to depart for its home port under the command of captain Faiq Khalidov and will arrive in Baku on August 26.

As noted, “Professor Aziz Aliyev” is the first of 4 tankers, to be produced according to the agreement signed between Azerbaijan’s Caspian Shipping Company and the “Krasnoye Sormovo” for oil and oil products transportation between the Caspian ports. The tankers are being built for the Company’s funds.

A crew has already been sent for the second tanker named after writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh and will be ready by the Presidential elections until October 10.
