TO THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF AZERBAIJAN
Dear fellow countrymen!
The progressive mankind remembers with a sore heart the victims of a policy of genocide against Jews conducted by fascists during the World War II. In this mass terrible slaughter, millions of people including children, women, old people were tortured and brutally killed for being just Jews.
The fact that prisoners of the Warsaw Jewish ghetto rose to fight tooth and nail against fascism for their national rights, and died heroically in this glorious battle entered into history books as a moral victory of human dignity over evil and violence.
Legal and political assessment was given in due time to those bloody crimes, and organizers were punished deservedly. However, intolerable manifestations of fascism become bitter reality of today, troubling memory and destiny of millions of people. I regret to say that such horrors did not pass Azerbaijan by. For the past two centuries, in particular since late 80s of the last century, our people have repeatedly suffered from military, political, ideological aggression of Armenian fascism and faced such national disasters as genocide, deportation, ethnic cleansing. We strongly condemn all kinds of racism, national and religions discrimination threatening the whole human civilization, international peace and stability, and call for the world community`s “unified” and intransigent position against such manifestations.
Dear compatriots!
On this mournful day, we share your sorrow on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan. May Allah rest in peace the souls of innocent victims of aggression.
