Tourist flows between Uzbekistan and Georgia continue to grow
Baku, July 6, AZERTAC
According to the National Statistics Committee, 3,328 Georgian citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes between January and May 2026, Uza reported.
This figure increased by 31.7 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.
An analysis of the purposes of their visits shows that 2,305 Georgian citizens traveled for leisure, 766 for business, 254 to visit relatives, and 3 for study.
During the same period, a total of 3,317 Uzbekistan citizens traveled to Georgia for tourism.
This figure increased by 21.6 percent compared with the corresponding period in 2025.
Leisure travel also accounted for the largest share of visits by Uzbekistan citizens, totaling 2,993. In addition, 258 citizens traveled to visit relatives, 33 for medical treatment, 25 for business purposes, and eight for study.
