TRANSPORT MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN MET IBD REPRESENTATIVES
Updating the guests on the policy pursued by Azerbaijani state in the field of transport, the Minister appreciated the role of IBD in reconstruction of highways of the country. The Minister expressed gratitude for positive response by he IBD leadership to the address of Azerbaijan government in connection with the credit at amount 4,5 million USD, required for reconstruction of the Alat-Ganja highway, and support by this Bank elaboration of projects of the Ujar-Yevlakh way. He noted that in accordance with the recommendations and assignments of president Ilham Aliyev in order to reconstruct trunk roads of the Country are being held negotiations with the international financial structures for credit.
Having highlighted on the works being realized in the frame of the EU TACIS program, Ziya Mammadov said that things were not good at the North-South terminal. Noting that this work will be included to the perspective plan, he stated that to reach all these they need investments.
Representative of IBD Dr. Abu Rza, giving high assessment to the work implemented last years at the highways of Azerbaijan, said that the Bank he represents, is ready to make its contributions to the development of Azerbaijan.
